In most vcases this is a created market. I would suggest that you try some of the bigger flea markets like the one at the Rose bowl in Pasadena or the Denver Flea market, that has been going for years. You should be able to establish a clientele from a few shows. Remember you are creating a job for yourself if you are the only one making the furhiture. The more you sell the more you work.
